Nathan Spiteri is a filmmaker, actor and writer.

Hi, I’m Nathan Spiteri. I was born and raised just outside of Canberra, Australia, and my journey hasn’t been a straightforward one. Overcoming the deep challenges of childhood sexual abuse, battling addictions and violence, and working through years of trauma has shaped who I am today. And now, I dedicate my life to being a voice for those who’ve experienced the same.

My career started in acting, and I’ve been lucky enough to work across Australia, the U.S., and beyond—both on stage and in front of the camera. Over time, my career has evolved and today I’m also an accomplished filmmaker, an author, a keynote speaker and a passionate advocate, deeply committed to sparking change and helping others find their way through life’s toughest moments.

Through my memoir ‘Toy Cars’ and ‘The Childhood Trauma Recovery Workbook for Adults,’ I share my own experiences, not just to tell my story but to empower others to tell theirs. I’ve seen firsthand how storytelling can be a powerful tool for healing, and I aim to foster that for everyone I work with, whether it’s through my films, books, or keynote talks.

You may have caught me on stage giving my TEDx Talk or through various organizations like the Children’s Liberation Foundation, the No More Foundation, or Voices Beyond Assault, where I work to support survivors and shift the narrative around trauma, masculinity, and recovery.

At the heart of everything I do—whether it’s acting, writing, or speaking—it’s about connection, authenticity, and driving change. I truly believe that by opening up about our struggles, we not only heal ourselves but create space for others to heal, too.

So, whether you’re here to explore how my creative work can inspire your own, you’re looking for someone to speak at your next event, or even if you’re just starting to navigate your personal recovery, I’m here. My goal is to inspire, to activate, and to empower. I look forward to connecting with you.
